Passport Application

Here are the steps of the biometric passport enrollment procedure:

STEP 1: ONLINE PRE-ENROLLMENT

Pre-registration is only done online. The applicant can access it by clicking on the following internet link: www.passcam.cm.
At the end of this stage, the applicant obtains an appointment for the physical enrollment at the High Commission of Cameroon in South Africa.
During the online pre-enrollment, the passport applicant will have to pay the sum of 110,000 FCFA (one hundred and ten thousand CFA francs) via Yoomee, MTN Mobile Money, Orange money, Express Union or credit card.

STEP 2: PHYSICAL ENROLLMENT AT THE HIGH COMMISSION

1. After confirmation of the online pre-enrollment, applicants must present themselves at the High Commission (on appointment only) or at the indicated place during the deployment of a mobile consulate in your country of residence for the completion of the procedure.
Applicants are requested to bring the information sheet generated at the end of the pre-enrollment procedure with the originals and photocopies of the following supporting documents:

The receipt of payment of stamp fees of 110,000 Francs CFA
A certified photocopy of the birth certificate
A certified photocopy of the national identity card (not mandatory)
Proof of profession (if applicable)
Photocopy of the naturalization or reintegration decree, if applicable
The certificate of loss of passport, if applicable
Photocopy of the residence permit
The sum of R.750 (seven hundred fifty rands) for administrative fee

2.  The Consular Card: During the physical enrollment, applicants must obtain a compulsory consular card which is part of the documents in the physical enlistment file.

They will have to bring the sum of R120 (one hundred and twenty Rand) and two (02) passport type photos. These fees will be collected by a consular assistant.
The consular card, which is a fundamental element of identification and recognition of Cameroonian Nationals by the High Commission, is compulsory and must be presented beforehand for the benefit of any consular service (Article 8, last page of the Cameroonian passport).

By special dispensation, the consular card is free of charge for children under 14 years old.

3.  You are advised to choose South Africa on the system

STEP 3: COLLECTION

  1. In case, all information are correct, the passport is produce in Cameroon within 48h and can be available in the Embassy before or after 2 weeks.
  2. We advise you travel in South Africa for your passports. In case, the passports are not delivered at the embassy within two weeks, an affidavit can be done to enable us to send the passports to your place of residence via a reliable courier service of your choice.
The receipt of payment of stamp fees of 110,000 Francs CFA
A certified photocopy of the birth certificate
A certified photocopy of the national identity card (not mandatory)
Proof of profession (if applicable)
Photocopy of the naturalization or reintegration decree, if applicable
The certificate of loss of passport, if applicable
Photocopy of the residence permit
The sum of R.750 (seven hundred fifty rands) for administrative fee
MINORS (Less Than 20 years)

Four (4) passport sized photographs measuring 4cm by 4cm, taken in the Consular premises by a designated photographer
Two (2) application forms (both signed by the Father, Mother or Guardian of the Minor), one of which must carry a fiscal stamp
A certified true copy of applicant’s birth certificate; (certified at the High Commission)
A certified true copy of Father, Mother or Guardian’s National Identity Card; (certified at the High Commission)
A certified true copy of Father, Mother or Guardian’s birth certificate; (certified at the High Commission)
Once the Minor has attained the age of fourteen (14)years, he/she will have to present a certified true copy of the National Identity Card or a resident permit as the case might be
Justification of Profession (student, apprentice, etc… 😉
Parent’s or Guardian’s Authorization; (done at the High Commission)
